Fall Obedient Plant,
False Dragonhead
Tall and erect, Fall Obedient Plant obeys the gardener's dictum: look good. Pretty, showy flowers, pale pink-lavender 1-inch blooms on tall spikes, bloom from August to October. A good cut flower. Butterflies like it. It is not particular about soil, but it does like more water than most of the perennials we offer. Low maintenance. Supposedly, the name of Obedient Plant comes from how easy it is to arrange the flowers; when placed in any direction, the stems stay in place - obediently. -- Rick R.
