Orange Butterfly Weed
A reliable butterfly magnet, very long-lived. Many types of butterflies, including Monarchs and Queens, love the plant as a host and for its nectar, which is in bright orange clusters of flowers at the top of branching stems. Flowering goes on reliably from June to September. Tough, requiring only full sun and a well-draining soil. The plant grows a tap root as an anchor. That also makes Orange Butterfly Weed a low-water favorite.
