Yellow Columbine
This beautiful yellow flower of Texas is a drama queen. Its delicate, extralong spurs accent the dramatic color of the flower against the bright-green-with-a-touch-of-blue foliage. Put it in shady spots to brighten them year-round, as the leaves are evergreen. Flowers bloom from spring through midsummer. It can go dormant in the hottest weather if it doesn't get water. This one grows taller than other columbine species. It can be the centerpiece of your spring garden.
